About Me
Meet the Team
I started my face painting journey when I was 18 years old working at the Wacky Work Shop at Drusillas Zoo. In my opinion it's the most fun place to work as a teenager!
From there I met Clare (who's a brilliant professional face painter) scouted me from Drusillas. She took me under her wing and showed me the ropes. I remember when we started painting at the London Aquarium. Travelling into London for the first time by myself as a 20 year old was the most dauting thing ever! But it didn't take me long to become a pro around the tubes.
Then after a couple of years I started thinking that I needed a "real" job.
So I set off to London and studied Make-up & Hair at CB*MA, a school that specialises make-up for Film & TV.
I worked for 6 years in the Film & TV industry as a Make-up & Hair Artist, travelling all over the country working on productions for the BBC, Channel 4, named but a few.
During my Make-up Artist journey I wanted to learn how to cut men's hair (as it's a good skill to have on set). So I approached a lovely little barbershop in Lewes owned by Chloe.
I trained under her for year whilst still working in film.
I ended up giving up my Film work when I had my first son, I just couldn't be away from him!
After maternity leave I went back to The Barber Shop Lewes and continued work there as a Barber, meeting and chatting to the most interesting people, becoming a part of our local community.
As my eldest son started school, the need for face painting came back.
My husband convinced me to start my own Face Painting business, I agreed as along as he did all the paper work and I get to be the creative!
So here we are now!
If you ever come to one of our Big events you'll usually find at least three of us there.
Myself (Michelle) - Creative one that only wants to paint.
Michael (The Husband) - The paperwork and queue managing guy!
Lily (The Trainee) - Lily joined us a year ago. She has lots of natural talent and is a great up and coming face painter in the making.
Sherene - is an experienced face painter that I have worked with for at least 15 years.
All face painters carry full public liability insurance and are DBS checked.
